Do sex positions matter ??

Just wondering. I've heard loads of times that it's better for the male to be on top when TTC. I've also heard it's all a myth and it doesn't make a difference. But I recently downloaded the Glow app , and when you log sex it asks what position the female was in at ejaculation? So just wondering if it does actually make a difference ...

I feel it did for us, but they were ones we used through preference anyway.

I think as long as your not on top so you're not against gravity then it doesn't matter. But I'd say to have the best chance, missionary and then don't get up for a while after lol

Ah see we had sex last night and I was on top (we had to be quick as OH was on a break from work lol). But I've seen that it's just a myth about the woman being on top. I hope it is 😣 I lay with my hips tilted up afterwards for like an hour just in case lol

Could be, just seems like lying down helps the spermies tho 😆

I asked the consultant this at my fertility appointment - she said it’s totally irrelevant what position you are in. Sperm is transported through your cervical mucous in basically a chemical reaction - the stuff that leaks out of you due to gravity is just semen - the actual sperm are well inside your uterus by that point. Literally within a millisecond of ejaculation!

You can deffo get pregnant with the woman on top - we only dtd once the cycle I got pregnancy with number 2 and I was definitely on top!

That's facinating! I suppose letting yourself go helps too rather than rigidly planning positions for conception.

Have fun! :)

Another quick question !

Do you ladies all get ovulation pains ? I had my positive OPK yesterday and negative today but haven't felt anything yet

I was on top most of the night I got pregnant, including when exdp ejaculated. And I get awful ovulation pains, like really bad cramps. Not so much when I'm actually on my period though.
