Doctors-what should I expect?

I’m 37, TTC #1... I had my coil removed in Aug 17, it was copper, no-hormones do periods regular since first month.

I had private fertility testing in Sep 17 and was told to get a move on for my age, but that I had about 8 healthy follicles on each side and was in generally good health.

OH wasn’t tested.

If I go to see my GP because we haven’t conceived yet, what should I expect from them? I know there is a massive discrepancy between areas/locations when it comes to fertility treatments, but I wanted to get a gauge of what others had experienced....

Blood tests on certain cycle days, a scan and your husband should get his sperm analysed. Then it's most likely a referral to a fertility clinic.

Because the bloods have to happen on certain cycle days, it can take awhile to get them done.

For me I had two scans on my ovaries, the first one showed cysts, the second one showed they were all gone. That was the first step. Then blood tests, but it was a long process as I had long cycles and couldn’t always tell which day was the right day of my cycle for each test. DP kept being invited back for more sample tests for various reasons. This went on for about two years then we conceived naturally anyway.
