How long did it take you to get pregnant?

Ok, so I know I'm being ridiculous.

28. Cycle 4. I know the stats. I feel like I'll never get pregnant.

To reiterate, I know I'm being ridiculous. I just feel like nearly everyone is trying for 1 or 2 cycles and getting pregnant!

Please reassure me (or tell me about how it happened very easily).

1 year, 11 weeks pregnant today.

Was getting really hard as each month went by but I know a year is still short compared to other.

First time 11 cycles, it was awful, I ground myself down and down into a deep dark jealous and very unhappy place. I wish I hadn’t because I look back on that time now and it was so pointless. All the imagined scenarios were so
Silly!

Second time seven or eight cycles.

Seems like everyone is pregnant when you’re trying but the odds on you’ll have no problems!

Thanks @Mikewazowskismrs - you talk sense. I'm getting a HSG soon because I know I had external scarring on my right Fallopian tube when I had my appendix out. DH is getting a SA because he has a few autoimmune issues that can cause a low count.

I'm normally cool as a cucumber from a fridge, but not about this!

DD1, 6 months. DD2, 1 month. Currently TTC #3 and am on cycle 3. I have friends who fall really quickly, and I have friends who have taken years. It's so all consuming when you're TTC, so time seems to pass even more slowly than it would usually, doesn't it. It feels like we've been TTC this time round for ages, when it's really been no time at all.

DD1 3 years that was tough.
10 weeks pregnant now with DC2 who only took 4 months!!! Still in shock

3 months. 29 weeks pregnant right now.

Currently on cycle 15. Have endo and PCOS though. Good luck! Hope it happens for you soon!

Almost 2 years. We had fertility appointments and tests booked in for late Feb and found out early Feb we were pregnant!! Had to ring them and cancel which they said was the loveliest phone call to get. Very sweet. However when that pregnancy ended in a mc, we were pregnant again only 3 months later and weren't even "trying" (just casual sex here and there, barely even 3 times that month I think, I wasn't tracking anything or worrying as was too upset about mc still)

It does happen. Though it feels like everyone else gets there first, or by accident, and it feels so unfair. Time passes so fast in hindsight. Stay positive x

I actually feel I haven't been as positive as I could be. I so agree with others on here. It feels as if everybody else is pregnant or every other day, someone says 'we weren't actually trying, it was such a surprise!' BUT I know I need to stay positive and know we will all get there xxx

We tried, really tried and it didn't happen, for several months. So we put it on the back burner.

The following year we thought, casually, we might try again. It happened straight away!

Our bodies and minds work in peculiar ways but often for the best.

Hope it happens soon for you but please don't worry. I know so many people who went to great lengths to conceive, didn't, then did and had three children, one after the other!

DD1 - 3.5 years
DC2 - 1 month

Two years i felt the same as you like it would never happen and it seemed everyone else was getting pregnant. I don't think the negative thoughts helped. The month we finally got pregnant we were moving house so I was distracted and not as focus on it. In fact we had barely dtd that month.
I know it's easier said that done but try to focus on something else and not over think it. Hope you get your BFP soon.

DC1 took 11 months.

9 years and counting but I've only had fertility treatments for the last five and a half years. Not sure if it'll ever happen. I wouldn't worry the first few years, lots of people get pregnant after a while.

13 months, and that was 6 cycles due to irregular periods.

Felt like forever, and I got really really down about it all. But there was nothing wrong with either of us and no reason for my irregular periods, so was all just down to timing! 18 weeks pregnant currently

First time... Yes I know we're freaks. Seriously. But what that probably shows is that it's easier when you're not stressed. We didn't think for a second it would actually work, as I was 38 too.

DD1 we caught first time. Currently trying for number two. Heading into cycle number 4 now

First month with non id twins. I fully expected it to take at least 12 cycles so was shocked.
