19dpo 5 days late and a BFN! Anyone else?

I had 2 days of brown/dark red spotting for 2 days around 3/4dpo. Usually have 26-27 day cycles. AF was due 31/10:18 and still hasn’t arrived. Tested at 9AM with FMU on a first response and a BFN. Gutted.

No PMS symptoms and I usually get a full weeks worth before AF. Just very sore boobs, headaches and dry mouth for about 6ish days now.
Do I retest in a week?
Anyone else going through anything similar?

@Kerribo86 yeh I know. I got what seemed to be a bfp yesterday afternoon but not too sure about it. Lines look a little too close together and although I feel different I don’t just know anymore!

@Akasia unfortunately my tests are looking extremely faint now and I’m spotting so it’s not looking good anymore 😕

Not even sure if that’s an evap line or a faint positive anymore!

I hope it is a bfp for you. Its more than I have at the moment! Still have every symtom under the sun. I had the smallest apart of pink tinted Cm today once and that was it nothing since xx

@Zelda28 Try and get a pink test. The first test you did definately looks like a positive. Hang in there though because I think the hcg hormones start developing once implantation takes place. That time frame between ovulation and implantation can differ. It’s definately not exact. If no AF, try again tomorrow if you can first thing with a pink test. If not, tomorrow night or following morning. Hcg grows quite fast I think every couple of days.

@Ozziewozzie yeh I’ve bought some pinks again for next few days if AF doesn’t come full force tomorrow (she could just be teasing me with this spotting today!) could this possibly be late implantation but surly the first test wouldn’t have shown such a positive line? I’m just so confused with it all... unless that test was a cruel dud!

Use a FR first thing in the morn, that'll deffo give u ur answer

@Zelda28 don't lose faith. Did you test with fmu this time? First line was very bold and pink, surley not an evap.
What colour is the bleeding? I heard that it is quite common to be spotting in early pregnancy.
I would say get a frer and test with fmu. I have my fingers crossed for you!

I’m pretty sure you can’t get a false positive. The strip can only change with hcg hormones present. You can only get a false negative (ie testing too early)
You can however get an evap line but that usually appears after time advised and it’s usually really faint.,
The only other possibility is that you had implanted but maybe it hasn’t taken so hcg reducing, but I wouldn’t bet on it. I’d try pink test tomorrow. Best of luck!!!

This was mine, 6 days after AF was due! Got BFNs up until then. 3yo ds is now currently stealing most of my bed space...

Well I woke up this morning to bleeding. Its lighter than normal but I'm pretty sure its AF sadly. Guess I'll be trying again next month x

Oh no and I’m the same. AF starting properly today into a light flow. Negative test this morning too so not sure what went on with that Pink test...either a rare false positive or this has ended up being a chemical.
