So we’ve decided to just go for it, hoping to get a baby in before our 2020 wedding so can only really try until the end of April to avoid a teenie tiny baby at wedding. My cycle is only about 26 days so that’s 7 cycles.

Have been using Natural Cycles for contraception for a while so have a good grip on my cycle.

Currently CD21, should ovulate in 3 weeks.
Taking Pregnacare, temping and have PreSeed to use. Excited!

Exciting! Hope you’re having fun....! We’ve decided to go for it too, however I’m still breastfeeding and AF has not arrived yet so we’ll probably be taking the long scenic route. Congratulations on your wedding by the way!

Hangingtrousers · 01/11/2018 22:25

Discussed this last night .. DH wants to wait a few months .. I'm ovulating this weekend. Hopefully he will change his mind.

Hangingtrousers · 01/11/2018 22:27

Will be DC number 3.

MrsC12gan · 02/11/2018 18:31

Will be starting from next week when we go on holiday, came off pill in June and cycle still isn’t back to normal so might take a while!
Good luck ladies, happy humping 🤪

Erin4000 · 02/11/2018 18:47

Can I join please 😀 am on CD2...trying for second. 1st is 16 months.

Scarletrose18 · 02/11/2018 20:37

Hello!

Just created a mumsnet account and a thread about trying this month too... then found your thread Smile

Iv just stopped pill so waiting on first period. Was bf after baby1 and then went onto this pill so havnt actually had a proper period since before baby1. They used to be super regular so hoping that happens again.

Excited to try again xo

Foxy84 · 03/11/2018 10:32

Hello! 👋🏻 I have just signed up to Mumsnet and also just started TTC. I hope it’s ok to join you here!

I just got married in September and we’re keen to try for a baby right away 😊 I’m 34 and it would be my first baby so a bit worried that it could be difficult but fingers crossed!

I had my implant removed in March and been using Natural Cycles since then... my periods were all over the place and I think my cycle is still getting back to normal... I’m pretty sure I ovulated on Thursday based on temps and OPKs, but I think that was day 28 of my cycle so obviously not where it should be!🤔

whyhaveidonethis · 03/11/2018 14:19

I've started this month too. Currently on CD8 after first period after stopping pill on 28th Sept. I'm going to be fertile this week hopefully.... App says 9th but we are juts dtd every day anyway

Soexciting · 03/11/2018 14:27

It's all so exciting. So wrote a post about not knowing whether to start this month or wait until next. I also read something about taking folic acid for 3 months before but reading stuff is probably a bad idea.
@Foxy84 I am 34 too and got married in August congratulations on your wedding

Scarletrose18 · 03/11/2018 15:13

@soexciting Hi :) I think taking the folic acid before is for preventing birth defects.

@foxy84 yes congratulations! Mrs Foxy :)

Hangingtrousers · 04/11/2018 07:35

DH decided he wanted to wait till next month. Roll on November.

Hangingtrousers · 04/11/2018 07:37

December even...

Scarletrose18 · 04/11/2018 07:46

Sorry to hear that @hangingtrousers I think men automatically have some strange view of how hard it will be with a baby. Everyone had told my husband first time that his life would be over and he was so worried right up until dc1 was born then he admitted it was totaly the opposite and loves being a dad.

Now he has the same anxiety about having 2 and wanted to wait longer but I have worn him down... i mean he has changed his mind Halo about ttc now.

So dont give up hope, he may change his mind yet Wink

x

Hi all. We haven't really used contraception since DS was born (breastfeeding and periods haven't returned). I recently returned to work so have a feeling periods might return now. Had very very light orange spotting twice this week and have now convinced myself I'm nauseous/tender breasts too. More likely to be period returning than BFP but I'll enjoy symptom spotting for now.

Foxy84 · 04/11/2018 11:34

@Soexciting @Scarletrose18 thank you ladies!! 😊

@Soexciting congrats to you too! Re folic acid I've been taking pregnacare vitamins which have folic acid in them as well as multivitamins, agree with @Scarletrose18 it is to help prevent birth defects, but I think as long as you start taking it now then it would be fine! Agree you can go a bit crazy reading all the advice out there!🙈

Soexciting · 04/11/2018 12:18

@foxy84 I have ordered Seven Seas on Amazon same day delivery so will start taking them today.
So weird was planning to start trying December 2019 and then had a chat on Friday night starting vitamins today and could have a baby before the date we planned to start trying! I know it might not work out that easily but the username says it all I am so excited.
@hangingtrousers next month isn't so far away

Hangingtrousers · 04/11/2018 12:22

Thanks... Yes it will fly by and to be fair I would prefer a September or October baby 😂 (yes I know it's not that predictable but got pregnant very fast first two times...)

Soexciting · 04/11/2018 12:26

@hangingtrousers I know what you mean I am a teacher and so a September baby would be ideal but because of my dates if I conceived in December my due date would still be 31st August so would need to conceive in Jan to get a late September date.
Or have I got the dates things all wrong? I am just using Flo to predict the first day of my future periods and then whacking that into a due date calculator but I really don't understand how it can solely be based on first day of period when the fertile period is so long...not a science teacher

Hangingtrousers · 04/11/2018 12:30

Yes teacher too hence the sept/ Oct baby. My second born was early Oct and we got pregnant first try in January. Meant I could go back at the end of summer term and get full pay over summer. It Def makes sense to wait a few months more for us.

Scarletrose18 · 04/11/2018 21:29

Try this out for dates guys. Its so amazing but so hard not to obsess over lol.
It gives u your exact due date based on first day of your period! So the black line is the first day of your period, blue line would be due date

pinkflower22 · 05/11/2018 13:02

Hi everyone! Me and my partner are going to start trying properly next month, even though there is a chance this month that I might be pregnant. I’m on CD26 and my period is due today but hoping I don’t gave it. Feel like it’s going to start though keep checking for it, but I’ve heard that that is a pregnancy symptom? Will have to wait and seeSmile

Foxy84 · 07/11/2018 23:57

@scarletrose18 thanks for sharing the dates chart!! This is maybe a stupid question but I’m assuming it’s the date of your last period not the date you’d be expecting your next period, is that right?

Scarletrose18 · 08/11/2018 09:39

Yes, so say your period started on 1st Dec and you ov on 14th of dec and concieved yiu can find your due date by going to chart and matching 1st Dec with the line below... if that makes sense lol. Also means you can plan based on when next AF is Smile

Monday55 · 08/11/2018 09:53

We started properly this month too but may have missed the November ovulation already as he was away for 8 days and my last AF finished 23rd Oct next one due 19th November.

I've started prenatal vitamins in preparation for December as I've counted this month out x
