Hi ladies can anyone help I’m so confused

So I’m on day cycle 39 I got a positive opk on the 15th October making it cd 23.. I am now 16dpo and AF still isn’t here and I’m getting BPN.. could I still get a BFP or am I just waiting for AF to show up 🤔

Has anyone got a BFP after this amount of time.. I just want to know either way now

A positive opk doesn’t necessarily mean you ovulate that day. The hormone surge usually means you ovulate 12-24 hours later.

Based on that you’re probably only due af today or tomorrow?

Just wanted to add AF was due last Thursday but that’s because the month before my LP was only 11days.. I guess I could be having a longer LP but 16days sounds a lot??? Unless I never did ovulate?

LatteLover12 Thanks for your message sorry my mistake! I got a positive opk on the 14th so the app said the 15th was my ovulation day.. I know that can be wrong but that’s all I have to go by 😬

I assume you’re not temping? Getting a positive opk doesn’t mean you definitely ovulated. Your body can “gear up” to ovulate and then not actually do it and this can happen multiple times in a cycle. So you might have ovulated later than you think! Or not at all this month unfortunately.

All you can really do is keep testing every few days until your period comes (or once a week if you have the willpower!). It’s not unusual to completely miss a period for no apparent reason so Drs won’t normally investigate until you have missed 2 periods....

MonkeyToucher Thanks for your message no I’m not temping 😬 I really hope that’s not the case because we only DTD around my positive opk 😢 I have never had this happen to me because I have been tracking my cycles for the last 8 months.. i’ll keep you all updated x

Still no AF or BFP now idea what’s going on but hopefully I will bet some answers on Thursday at the doctors 😊

Hey AF arrived early hours of this morning! Really happy to be honest after a 43 days cycle 😬 I knew deep down I wasn’t pregnant anyway.. it was only our first cycle.. we wasn’t going to be a lucky as we were last time getting pregnant 😊
