I’d like to stock up on some tests but have seen debate on which are best that hopefully don’t cost £5 a pop! Has anyone any recommendations?

The one step tests off Amazon are super cheap. I had a squinty squinter at 10dpo (5 days before AF) and a faint but immediately obvious line at 12dpo (3 days ahead) using these.

Thank you

Two x double pack of FRER on amazon £14.49 so works out as £3.62 each plus you get two free cheapies .

I like the core tests from amazon, £5ish for 10 tests, but the ones I’ve had have been less scratched on the surface than the other cheapies, I found one-step quite bad for that and often had to figure out if it was a scratch or a line (though I still use them).

One step on Amazon were great - v. Faint when first had bfp but as so cheap could wee on 10 and have the same consistent result which was reassuring! This is also the brand my GP surgery uses

Frer are the most sensitive and you will get a clear line before the one step or similar. But make sure you get the first response early tests. I have had clear positives at 10dpo on these.

A word of warning on FRER testing so early is that they can give a strong line and a false sense of security ahead of a chemical. I find the squint of a cheapy so early doesn't give to the same misplaced confidence
