Mirena side effects

5 months of mirena and suffering awful hair loss. Doctor insists this is not due to mirena but down to anxiety I have had removed 2 weeks ago but still losing hair by the handfuls. Any positive stories? pleeease

I have experienced very much the opposite! Wispy beard, black moustache, dark hairs on nipples and stomach and a great black hairy patch on my upper back, plus stray dark hairs on upper arms and décolletage. Still a small price to pay for a respite from the most awful, clotty, heavy periods.
I'm sorry you're suffering. You only have to read the many threads to know Mirena does not work for everyone,
