Posting looking for help and advice. Sorry if it ends up being rather long.
We've been ttc for most of the year and it's starting to get me down. I bought the cheap ovulation kits. Didn't get a positive after a month of using so on advice from friend, got the clear blue ones but have used them for 2 months and not had a positive, (have had flashing smiley faces but not a static face).
I've had blood tests for pcos and they were clear and had smear and colposcopy which were both clear. I am still having investigations because I'm bleeding after sex but not getting any answers yet.
I am overweight and stressed which people keep telling me won't help. I don't know how people are supposed to just stop being stressed but I'm at least trying to lose weight. Does this affect whether you actually ovulate though? I don't know whether to be worried or not. Does anyone have any experience or advice? Sad

Weight can have a huge impact on fertility. Fat stores hormones and thus can disrupt your cycle. Even a 5% weight loss can radically improve fertility.

It sucks it's taking awhile, but 80% will conceive in a year of regular unprotected sex. It's a lot harder than they told us at school!!

Exercise will help you feel less stressed as it releases endorphins, so try to get out for some walks, it’ll kill two birds with one stone. But trying to switch off the stress is easier said than done, we know up to a year is normal but it doesn’t make it easier. Maybe stop actively trying for a few months and focus on losing weight and relaxing, take the pressure off a bit

Thanks for the advice. U think it was just because the tests were negative, wasn't expecting that. But will try harder with the weight.
