Long cycles!

Hi, did anyone else on here have long cycles after coming off the pill?

I am 32 and TTC #1 Cycle 1. Was on the pill for 15 years and came off in April as my AF had gone from light to pretty non-existent (it was put down to stress...wedding planning etc! as bloods were all fine). I came off to "find my natural cycle" as it had been so long I had no true idea about myself. Since my withdrawal bleed I had a 90 day cycle, then approx 54 days which led me to my last AF on 13th September and we officially started "trying" after this. I haven't had anything since. Been trying to check CM on a daily basis for a couple of weeks but I am not the best at interpreting it. Some days it seems "wet" and some "sticky" but it doesn't seem consistent or in any order. Not purchased any ovulation tests yet as want to wait until end of this month and if no sign of AF then ill look into them.

Had plenty of weird and wonderful symptoms that you think might be early pregnancy or even AF coming along but nothing yet and a couple of BFN. I have no idea when I have ovulated, if I even have at all.

Has anyone else been in the same situation with long irregular cycles and what did you do? I might book another GP appointment to just check my bloods are all ok.

It might take a few more months for your periods to regulate... some people need 6-12 months.

Mine were 42, 35, 30 and 39 until I concieved. My next one would have been 42, so even after 5 months I still wasn't regular!

You could try OPKs to see where your fertile window is and DTD every other day to make sure when you ovulate there will be sperm available to fertilise the egg. Best of luck!!
