Just as the title says...used OPK's this cycle but I didn't dtd on the positive day (yesterday). This has upset me as I feel we've missed our time this month.
I'm thinking if I didn't do OPK's would I be less worried/stressed about dtd and just do it every other day...

DTD today then! you dont ovulate on the day you get a positive, usually takes another 24-48 hours before you actually ovulate so start baby dancing! Good luck

Yes positive opk means ovulation is going to occur in the next few days. Your not out yet get busy!!! Goodluck. I tried 2 cycles off opks but preferred to up my chances and know what was happening x

I used OPKs and had sex the day before and two days after the positive and I got a BFP. As long as you are very near the positive result which you are I don't think you should feel this month's chance is scuppered.

I think they're great but we are about to try for DC2 and I am going to start off without them I think as I found I got a bit obsessive over them, but that's just my nature.

I haven't used OPKs and have got pregnant 3 times this year without them.

I also used them for the first time last month and also got pregnant that cycle too. I DTD the day before my positive and not at all after it so wasn't expecting a positive.

And as others have said, you usually ovulate 24-48 hours after positive OPK and once released the egg can live for a further 12-24 hours, so you will still be in with a chance if you DTD today.

Thankyou for your responses ladies.
I dtd Tues & Weds night too (sorry forgot to mention that) so will dtd tonight also. Hopefully that'll be enough 🤞

I think in an ideal world, I’d have a fairly regular cycle, use OPKs a few times to make sure I had a vague idea of when I ovulate, and then go without and have sex every other day.

That wasn’t my reality so we used the CBFM and it worked for us. If you’re able to have regular sex or you have regular cycles, I’d definitely try without OPKs.

I got my BFP last week and used opks. First cycle I used I managed to conceive and realised that I ovulate a lot earlier than the apps predicted and I thought. May be worth trying using opks a little earlier in your cycle.
