I got the implant removed on the 13th Sept I had it in almost for 3 years out a month early, never really had a period on it apart from a couple of spotting when I got it out the nurse said it should return fairly quickly but can take up to 8 week I'm now on 6 week on Thurs and it's driving me mental!! I'm just wondering has anyone gone through similar?? And whether it's possible to fall pregnant we are not actively trying but not really preventing as such (withdrawal method) before your first period thanks for any help in advance Smile

Hi I'm jumping on your post as I'm in a similar position. I however, had the mirena coil in for 3 years and had it taken out 6 weeks ago to try for baby #2. I had periods whilst it was in but haven't had one at all since having it out 😫 it's so annoying isn't it?!

I had mine out and it was 8 weeks before my period came back not having had one while on it. You can get pregnant without ever having one but I didn't - took about 6 months

It was about 6 weeks after having the implant removed before my periods came back. I've had two since it came out in August and they're so heavy. A hell of a lot heavier than I've ever had in my life. Just in case make sure you stock up, they seem to come back with a vengeance once here.

The hormone is out if your body within about three weeks, so this is now your natural cycle. If no period for three months and you're not pregnant, see your GP.
