Hi guys,

I'm more then likely out this month because I had AF. But is there still a chance? I keep thinking about the faint positives I had, but then got AF on the day it was due, started light, then heavy for 2 days then light again. Lasted 4 days as usual.

I read you can still eat regular periods and still have a BFP but then I read that it's impossible to have a regular heavy period bleed and still be pregnant.

Am I just being very hopeful to test again?

I didn’t find out I was pregnant until I was 8 weeks as I had a “period”. I recommend you test again

Sorry to say it but it sounds more like a chemical. Faint positives then bleeding may just mean that the pregnancy wasn't able to progress. If you had positives, then you were definitely pregnant at that point, but there was something wrong so the pregnancy ended very early.

If you want to test again, then do, but I wouldn't get your hopes up. Sorry, I hope this hasn't come across in a harsh way. Flowers

@LampShadeHeid did you have cramps during said period? I read implantation bleeding shouldn't be crampy so it's probably af I was just so hopeful!

@Stormwhale more than likely that's the case. That doesn't come across as harsh at all, thank you

The only thing that was indistinguishable between what I had and a normal period was that it lasted a lot longer (about two weeks). I only took the test as I had been feeling pretty rubbish and when I got a very strong positive I thought there was so way it was going to be a successful pregnancy due to all the bleeding I had. Maybe it is more likely you’ve experienced a chemical, but I think worth tearing again just so you know 100%.

Worth testing* again.

I had the exact same as LampShade - found out when I was 8 weeks. Then”period” was a bit lighter than usual (but still red) and lasted about 10 days...
