Period after stopping cerazette

Hi, am 39 (40 next week) and stopped taking my pill 3.5 weeks ago to TTC. Was all a bit of a sudden decision and so I'd not been planning anything; literally just decided that it was now or never with new (not new but different dad to other DC) partner. I've already got DC and this will be #4.

I had been struggling with the pill after coming off Mirena in February. In the past 5 months I'd been bleeding (and heavily) for 20-25 days each month. Normally if I missed a pill after 2 days I'd have a withdrawal bleed. Since I stopped taking it I've had nothing. No bleeding, no cramping, nothing. We've DTD every 2-3 days in the past 3 weeks and I've no idea if/when I've ovulated. Is it worth me doing a test? When should I expect AF? #confused

My DD was conceived within the first couple of days of me coming off cerazette! I was nearly 4 weeks when I found out!

@whyhaveidonethis I came off Cerazette on 13th September and like you was waiting for my withdrawal bleed. It didn't come in the first week as expected but I put that down to me taking 2 pills a day (gp recommended to stop the spontaneous periods I was getting every 10 days while only taking 1 pill). After 4 weeks of no withdrawal bleed and very sore boobs, I took a test on Monday (this week) and got a BFP. It was a cb digital and said I was 1-2 weeks. I couldn't quite believe it and so took 3 more tests, all positive. I'd say it's worth doing a test. I did do a normal line test as well as my three digitals (think I was in denial a little bit) and there was the faintest line. So I would recommend a digital if you can. Good luck x

I got no withdrawal bleed, then an extremely light period about 28 days after stopping.
I would test to put your mind at rest, I have a few friends who were pregnant about 5 minutes after stopping the pill!

I think I'll try to test tomorrow although it seems a bit early so i'll expect a BFN. I'm really worried that our ages are against us. Feel like I need to have AF so I can keep track.

@whyhaveidonethis hey! I came off of desomono mini pill in August and waited 42 days for a period, after that my next cycle was bang on 28 days which was how it was before the pill! X

Hi @whyhaveidonethis
I was moved from Cerazette to Cerelle.
I was on Cerelle for 3 years and stopped taking it exactly a year ago (mid October). My first period didn't come until early February - so nearly 4 months - it was crazy!
I've had 7 periods in a year with cycles from 28 days to 45 days. I've found that taking Agnus Castus has helped regulate them x

I've still not had withdrawal bleeds and I stopped taking the pill on 13th Sept. Been DTD regularly. Have done a test strip but negative. I feel like I'm symptom watching / waiting on AF.
And now tonight I've got cramps

Just want a reg cycle!
I'd do a test if I was you Flowers

@MummaBaker did a test this morning with FMU and got a BFN 🙁 Got a load of Amazon cheapies so will test again in a few days or so. If I'm not pregnant I hope AF come quickly.
