79 days late

Wondering if anyone had any ideas what's going on with me as my GP is being spectacularly unhelpful.

As the title says, my period is now 79 days late. My tummy is 3 times the size it normally is (in a very tender, sore bloated kind of way) and has been for the last 3 weeks or so. I'm permanently exhausted and have completely lost my appetite. I've been doing sporadic tests since it was about 5 days late as I'm normally very regular and they're coming back negative each time. GP sent me for a blood test but all came back "normal" so I'm at a complete loss as to what could be the cause.

Any ideas you lovely lot? I want to go back to the doctors this week but armed with some questions etc as I'm fairly confident I'll get fobbed off if I'm not prepared.

I'd think a cyst or something if your tummy is bigger! Hope you get some answers!

Maybe insist on or pay for a private scan. I heard of one lady who was in a similar position - period 6 weeks late, she felt pregnant but all HPTs were negative. Eventually she had scan and a sac was present but unfortunately was not developing.

LunaLovesgood · 21/10/2018 15:37

Thank you for replying! I'm confident I'm not pregnant to be honest even though DH is convinced I am. The thing is, we've been trying for 9 months and this is just putting a hold on it all.

I think I might ask if they'll refer me for a scan. Not sure how long to keep going back for though. I'm not the most confident or pushy of people so if they say no but my symptoms carry on, what next?

Now 95 days late with a LOT of pain on my left side. Currently sat in the doctors waiting room and am shitting it that all they will do is give me painkillers and send me on my merry way.

There's something not right, I'm sure of it. I just don't know what

hope you get things sorted. keep us posted xx

LunaLovesgood · 06/11/2018 12:17

It was a different doctor today and they were lovely. They agreed there was definitely something not right and did an internal exam and took some swabs. I've also been referred for a scan.

Still worrying like mad but happy I was listened to and taken seriously. Just a waiting game for my scan date now.

i had this i was 132 days late and in the end was given provera to bring on a period in hope it resets things x

LunaLovesgood · 06/11/2018 12:44

Did you find out why it had stopped @TtcIAm ?

OP posts:
TtcIAm · 06/11/2018 13:06

no i'm not sure currently still having a provera period, so won't know for while whether it's reset

Pambo81 · 06/11/2018 15:27

Im currently cd 113 and have been trying to conceive since feb. Im 37 too which makes me feel do much pressure but the doctors are just dismissive. Strangely i too am always soo bloated since my period went missing. Got a doctors appt in 2 weeks so i will ask for a scan too - good luck and keep us updated @LunaLovesgood

LunaLovesgood · 12/11/2018 07:56

Still waiting on that bloody scan but this morning I POAS and it gave a faint positive. I don't understand!! Sad

OP posts:
TtcIAm · 12/11/2018 09:00

that a good sign that you got a faint positive fingers crossed

Soontobemummyto5 · 12/11/2018 14:29

Congrats on the faint positive, hopefully your scan date comes through soon. Would it be worth testing with a clear blue digital as that would give an idea of how many weeks?

physicskate · 12/11/2018 14:49

If your pain on one side gets worse or you experience shoulder tip pain (or if you start bleeding), please go straight to a and e as it could be ectopic...

LunaLovesgood · 12/11/2018 16:39

Ectopic did cross my mind to be honest but because the pain has eased slightly and is now quite sporadic (I'll be fine in the morning then unable to move in afternoon or vise-versa) I'm not sure.

Hopefully the scan is soon because I'm going to drive myself crazy worrying otherwise. I don't want to be the mad woman who's testing and testing and getting her hopes up too much.

Have you tested again since last post? Or heard about scan date? I’m frustrated on your behalf!

LunaLovesgood · 17/11/2018 10:18

4 more tests. I positive, three negatives.

I've given up to be honest. The pain has dulled to more of a constant ache with a sort of stabby pain a dozen or so times a day. Nothing from the hospital about the scan and I spoke to my GP over the phone on Thursday who basically said there was nothing to do but wait Confused

Currently distracting myself by being Mrs Christmas. It's driving DH mad bit he knows why and is being really supportive.

Weirdly, my appointment letter just arrived as we were leaving the house. 3rd of bloody December

OP posts:
TtcIAm · 20/11/2018 11:48

oh no have you tested again since ? are you having a scan on 3rd

LunaLovesgood · 20/11/2018 21:54

I don't date test any more to be honest! Scan is on the third after work. Think I'm going to see if I can leave early and go for a swim or something first to calm myself down.
