Dates don't add up?!

Hi there,

Can anyone clear this up for me? My last period started on 24th May...therefore making my due date 28th Feb next year... However my scans are showing a due date of 21st Feb, a week before. The thing is that makes conception a week earlier (around end of May) and we definitely didn't have sex around that time! It was a week later...

Maybe I ovulated super early in that cycle but we didn't have sex then to conceive, so how did conception take place at that time? Maybe I'm being thick but if someone could explain the would be great! X

It is only a week out, babies do not grow like clock work and all our bodies are a bit different too. Also if someone has a longer cycle then their due date would be later than someone with a shorter cycle.

Mine changed by about a week too with DS. LMP due date was 2nd August, my 7 week scan put me at 31st July but then 12th week scan put me at 27th July. At my 20 week scan DS was bigger larger than expected too (He ended up being born on 6th July!)

It’s not an exact science.

A week isn’t a big deal. My dates were moved a few days.

Congratulations!
