Should I test before scan?

Nc for this.

I’ve got an US scan on Friday as I’ve been having a lot of issues with my periods lately, they can be anywhere from between 4-8 weeks in between, usually heavy and painful etc.

My last AF was on the 21st August. I’m wondering if I should do a test before this scan, or if I was miraculously pregnant, would they see it on the scan?

Honestly this has been going on for years, my period is very late, I pluck up the courage to do yet another test and it’s always a BFN.

I don’t know if I need talking up or down, but hoping some of you lovelies might be able to give me a bit of advice - thank you!

Take the test. Even if it's just for peace of mind

I'd take a test, though they would be able to see if you were pregnant on the ultrasound.

Thank you both. Argh, I’m just tormenting myself, I don’t think I could handle another negative.

Just to update, started spotting a bit, not pregnant. Went for a scan and have a 5.5cm cyst on my ovary, not sure if that will explain symptoms I’ve been having, will need a follow up with the doctor to see what to do next.
