I normally ovulate around 14/15. Had my period as usual this month, maybe slightly lighter and shorter but then had my positive OPK yesterday and this am. I did a cheapie and a Clearblue and got a solid smiley. What's going on??

I've done a Clearblue digital pregnancy test and that is negative. How strange I've ovulated so early.

Does anyone have any advice?

Did I post this in the wrong place? I always struggle to get replies - is it something I'm doing wrong?

People probably aren’t replying because there’s nothing wrong, per se. You may have simply ovulated earlier. Do you have a particular concern? My cycles used to be regular and then started varying wildly when we started TTC. I’d ovulate as early as CD11 and as late as CD18.

It's not totally strange. When you got your solid smiley had you been using the CB digital for a few days in the run up to it as well? As if not then this can skew the results. You can ovulate a couple of days after a positive opk so you could ovulate CD11 this month, which is only a few days early so not too out of the ordinary.

Also, a positive opk doesn't confirm ovulation, it shows an LH surge. Some women surge more than once in their cycle before they ovulate. I would keep testing over the next few days and see what happens. The only way in future to confirm ovulation is by temping.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks, everyone. It is such a stress. I've started bleeding red blood tonight, AF finished last wednesday. We DTD last night and Monday night. I went to the GP last month due to irregular spotting and when she examined me she said it was ectropion. I'm wondering if it's been irritated. I get so stressed about it as I had a miscarriage in March and I beat myself up every month when AF comes

Oh and I used OPK because I felt like I was ovulating, I usually do it from today onwards. They went negative from yesterday.
