So I had my last depo injection in feb 18 was due another in may 18 I didn't get this as I want another baby . I still haven't had a period .... I've tried ovulation sticks but never ovulate . How long does it take to get periods any body been in the same situation??? Would it be best to go back on the pill to help bring this on or do you think it will just mess me up even more ??

Help

It can take anywhere up to a year after the Depo for fertility to return, some ladies may be sooner others later if you hit Feb and still nothing I'd be off to the GP xx

Thanks @Lymphy. I know I'm just sick of waiting now. I've been getting symptoms really sore boobs, mood swings, spots everything just no periods. My ovulation sticks would get darker but not positive.... so I've stopped them ... it was getting annoying !!! I'm stopped TTC atm as I'm booked for a holiday in sept 19 so will start again in April ish and go with and baby bump hopefully . Sending baby dust xxxx

It's rubbish when you're ttc, I imagine you're in the minority waiting so long, most I've met up up to six months or so, which is even more frustrating, but a positive is your getting those hormonal symptoms so its on its way, fingers crossed its sooner than later x

That's what I was hoping for aswell with all these hormones 🤣. Aww thanks . How long have you been TTC ? If you don't mind me asking . It's awful isn't it . I've got a 9 yr old and just this past year decided TTC again and in soo impatient now and just want to be pregnant hahaha .xoxox

I've just had my second she's 3months old but I like to hover on the TTC board, it took an age to get pregnant (I'd had chemo in the past so messed up my cycles) took 18 months which is nothing compared to some ladies but felt like three years! They should really have told you each time you got the Depo about fertility I'm a contraceptive nurse and remind my ladies at every visit, if they are considering TTC in the next year or so I suggest switching to something else that has no effect long term on delaying fertility so that by the time they are ready Depo should have worn off and they can just stop whatever they are on, there's nothing worse then wanting to crack on TTC and not having cycles due to a Depo. I bet sods law takes over and AF will arrive at the weekend Grin

Ano it's nightmare @Lymphy . It's my own fault really I always said "no no I don't want anymore " then I woke up one day and was like ..... I want another baby hahaha. 18 month 😱it's still along time , and hope everything's ok with you with chemo?!. I'm just really impatient. I have all the symptoms of a period my boobs are sooo sore at the minute I can't even walk up and down stairs or move my arms. Hopefully my body sorts its self out soon . Everybody I know seems to be pregnant or just had a baby 😕. It's just shitty atm xxxxxxxx
