Cycles after implant removal

I had my implant removed 4 months ago. While I had it in my periods were very irregular, sometimes came twice in a month heavy, sometimes I bled lightly for over a week and sometimes it didn't show up for months. Before I had the implant my cycles were regular and 28 days long. Since having it out my cycles have been 31 days long each month. Will they go back to 28 days like before or can it of permanently changed to 31 days, is that even possible?

I'm using a fertility app and so far I haven't logged any periods because I've been waiting for them to go back to 28 days so my ovulation is accurate. I used the same app to get pregnant with dc1.
