To HSG or not?

Hi everyone, myself and DP have been TTC for 12 months now.
I came off the mini pill last October and it took 6 months to have a single period and ever since they’ve been up the wall making TTC crazy difficult.
I was referred to a fertility clinic by my GP and had bloods and scans and DP also had tests. Everything came back okay.
Myself and DP are both only 27 so Dr advised we could just wait and see what happens or he could refer my for HSG with a view to put me on Clomid.
I’ve read awful things about HSG and I’m terrified but willing to give anything a go if it helps.
I just wanted to see if anybody had any experience of HSG and if people found it useful? Thank you in advance!xx

Hi! I had hsg and got pregnant following month! This was after 20 months of trying. We also had unexplained infertility.
For me it was not much more uncomfortable than having a smear and I was crazy nervous about it. Now I know it’s not so bad I wouldn’t be scared or nervous at all. The staff where I had mine (NHS) were excellent and sensitive. I’m sure you’ll be fine. But you still have time if you decide not to have it. I was 35 when I conceived my son, he is now 9 months old. Thank you so much for your reply. I’ve been researching it a lot and I think I’m going to go ahead with it.
I’ve heard that a lot of people get pregnant after it so it may be worth doing it just to see if I’m one of the lucky ones. Fingers crossed!xx

I had mine in my lunch hour, diagnosed with a twisted tube which I went I to have removed. Fell pregnant following month
