Advice!!

Hey everyone!

So earlier on I posted a thread asking when the best time to take an ovulation test is. I went home and tested anyway before I got a response (I tested about 5pm), to be honest I really wasn't expecting a positive test since I only came off my period 7 days ago today butch to my surprise I got a positive test (pictures attached). Are these tests accurate?! Is there a chance that this test could be wrong?

I kind of doubt it as literally 10/15 mins after this test I went to the toilet and noticed I have EWCM. I thought you ovulate 11-16 days after your period not 7?! Is this correct? I'm so confused so any advise really would appreciated! And also when should we start trying if this test is correct!

I don't think that's positive. Read the instructions on your test but the rest line is supposed to be thicker and darker than the control. That being said, it does look like you'll ovulate sooner than day 14

But i got a smiley face with it? So is the test wrong? Ovulation tests do confuse me but I asked someone else and they said positive so I don't know what to think...

The clear blue ovulation tests are different from the cheapies etc, if you get a smiley it means you're ovulating. I'm sure it says on the instructions not to look at the lines as a guide either! Have a wee look at the instructions they have loads of information on the tests !

I'm going to go back to the clearblue ones next month , the cheapies are too hard to read 😂

Your cycle days start at day 1 the day your period starts. So if your period finished a week ago your 7 days, plus however many days your period was into your cycle. So your probably bang on to be ovulating. I ovulated today and my period only finished 8 days ago. I'm cycle day 15 as I had a long period this month. Hope that helps

Ovulation is 11-16 days after the first day of your period. So as a previous poster says, you are probably bang on time to be ovulating. My periods are usually just short of a week, so my ovulation is usually about 7-8 days after the last day of my period, which is 13-14 days after the first day of my period.

Right ok! Thank you for you responses, I just tested again and got negative opk. I tested same time but following day is this normal?

I must assume that ovulation has now passed which is why it came back negative x
