IVF clinic recommendations

I am 42 and I am in search for clinics preferably in London (but open to go elsewhere if they are indeed good and care about their patients) for IVF treatment with your own eggs.

Most posts (and apologies if I missed the current ones) are from years ago so I would be keen to find out recent IVF clinic reviews / recommendations and what recommendations they would give when approaching and talking to the clinic.

I am also very keen to hear of other women who became pregnant with IVF and their own eggs post the age of 42+ and the clinics they used.

Finally, any considerations, things a woman should be prepared for, research about, be aware of especially if she is 42+ and starting IVF.

I am quite overwhelmed with the costs involved (as we are not very rich) and as NHS covers absolutely nothing for women 40+ and also scared as the more I read, the more I realize that most clinics do not care for the individual and the fact that for them having a baby means the world to them.

PS. I feel obliged to apologize as I also started another thread asking for any successful conception testaments over 42, but then I realized that the topic was not covering all the questions I wanted to ask this forum.
PS2. I have to admit that I have been following this forum for quite some time now and this is the first time I post on a forum online. But you have really created a beautiful network which makes me comfortable to talk about my personal situation and also help in a way I can't others. Thank you all.

There's an infertility section that you may get more responses on.

I'm a 2nd time gestational surrogate, both times were successful first time. We used Care, and they do have a clinic in London, although we're in another part of the country so used one of their other clinics.

Whichever clinic you decide to use, good luck! xx

You may want to check out the infertility forum. It's where ivf is frequently discussed.

Checked out the hfea website for basic stats. I know that the lister is sometimes mentioned for ivf in women 40+.

Good luck.

If you’re in London then it’s easy to get to Brussels. I would highly recommend the CRG in Jette (outskirts of Brussels). They helped us have our miracle baby, and have a lot of overseas patients. The costs I think will be less than in the uk, but they have the prices in the website so it’s worth checking out.
The website is www.crg.be & they have an option for English.
Good luck...

@ proseccopanda, @physicskate, @Chintaria

Thank you all for your feedback. I really appreciate it.
I also started a thread on the infertility section. You were right, IVF is discussed much more in that section.

@ proseccopanda, I just checked out Care London and they have an open event tomorrow. I contacted them and as they still had free slots, I am going. What a coincidence!
