Ovarian cyst and ttc

I have just had an ultrasound and the sonographer has found a 6cm cyst on my right ovary.
He said that it shouldn't be anything to worry about and that they will check it again in a year but I am not sure how a cyst that big wouldn't be a problem?
Does anyone have any experience of ovarian cysts and ttc?
Thanks.

Hi OP, I had an ovarian cyst and when they next monitored it 3 months later, it had gone. They generally just go on their own. They did, however, say that they would consider removal if it went above 5cm so a little concerning they're leaving you so long without checking. I'd get a second opinion.

Ps I conceived no problem.

@TokenGinger thank you, that is good to know. I have got a follow up appointment with the gp next week so I will ask her if it should be checked again sooner rather than later. Thanks
