Yammer rules:

A safe place for those of you who have been trying to conceive for 6+ months and even yams aren’t helping. Come and have a good ol’ bitch and a moan without judgement. Please read the rules before posting!

The Yam Commandments are as follows;

• Thou shalt not arrive one day and post BFP next day

• Thou shalt not give advice to others when TTC for one month only

• Thou shalt not participate in one-up-manship and realise TTC is shit for everyone in different ways

• Thou shall allow posters to be fucked off with the world and everything in it at regular points in the month

• Thou shalt not be offended by strong language

• Thou shalt not tell everyone to eat yams

• Thou shall accept being called a muppet for testing at 7dpo at 9pm at night

• Thou shalt not symptom spot during the two week wait and must be prepared for a telling off if you do so.

-Thou shalt not post pictures of positive pregnancy tests. We will be delighted to hear about it but no photos, please and thank you

Ok @Chooklass I am officially de lurking myself! Been TTC for 12 cycles now. Had 2 early MCs - one in Jan 17 and the other in March 17, not a sausage since then. I have endometriosis so have been referred to Gynae - not sure what will happen next. I was a fertile fecker in a previous life (fell pregnant with my DC very easily) so finding this all new and slightly scary.

@Tefiti2 welcome, sorry to hear of your miscarriages. I had a surprise pregnancy first time around I was in total shock that fertility appears to be a fleeting friend 😒 how olds your LO ? X

This week is driving me to drink I can tell you! My fp has lingered for 10 days this time!!! Got so much on at work and home, I'll be needing my Bailey's come Xmas eve. I swear we need a yammer pregnancy soooooon

I know how you feel @Owlpatrol we've had a lot of bad news here lately. If someone who did something I can easily replicate such as wearing pink socks on ovulation day or something could be the one with that magic second line too I'd appreciate it. I hope he does it

Forgot we booked a pantomime tonight realised at the time it finished had a tantrum nearly cried. PS 3dpo so not pregnant just ttc and crazy x

Ahhh @impatientmammy I hope your panto was fun though! I can't decide what we night be doing wrong. Can I have a poll how often yammers dtd during the month/fertile week? We usually manage 3 which should be enough but usually we are sooooo tired!

Because I no longer have any clue when fertile week is this cycle I have decided to be clinical and we have dtd pretty much every other day bar a week when I was ill. That's 87 of dtd every other day. I'm so fed up . Luckily I got a positive opk today and a smilie on my cbd so a la sperm meets egg we did it yesterday and today and will dtd again tomorrow and the day after. And I hope to god that's it and I either get FP or a bfp.

We vary on regularity with oh working away so much. This cycle we did the day before flashing smiley and 3 after it I dunno if that's 3 or 4 fertile days x

We’ll have to have ovulation induction again as I don’t ovulate. Last time we DTD daily for the 4 days the fertility clinic advised us to, though one day that involved DH having some alone time followed by me having some time with a funnel Not sure when we can try again.

@BGDino what days do they advise? X

@impatientmammy you have a blood test for the clinic to predict when you’re going to ovulate (they look for the LH surge for you) and then when they see it they literally ring you up and say “you should have sex as often as you can manage for the next 4 days”

So would that be similar to 4 days from the positive opk or do bloods recognise it sooner? X

I've ordered some frers 🤦🏻‍♀️ not sure what it is about Christmas giving me false hope gunna test Christmas morning and if I'm not have a glass of Buck's Fizz while we open stockings. I face af type cramps already so I think af will come earlier than expected anyway x

@impatientmammy yes it’s a more precise version of OPK. They also look at your BHCG and if it’s high you have an US to check there aren’t more than 2 eggs. 3 or more = no go this cycle, 1 or 2 = thunderbirds are go.

Would anybody like some IC ovulation tests and Proceive vitamins (men’s) before I offer them elsewhere? Don’t want any money or anything.

Stillavicarinatutu I thunk did evatially end up pregnant via ivf and I think has now had baby? Not sure though but hope she has.

I know lots of you have already tried bbt but I can't help but think it wasn't a total coincidence that I conceived first month I used natural cycles. With PCOS I never understood when I ovulated and my cycles were up to 120+ days sometimes so opks failed miserably. My temps did all the right things and it detected ovulation, told me when to dtd and even detected the pregnancy due to high temps and told me to test. We only had sex about 4 times that entire month and bam. I paid for a years subscription and I've got a good 8 months left on it I wish I could give it to one of you but not exactly possible logistically I imagine. Sorry if you have tried it and didn't need this advice but I wish someone had suggested it to me sooner as after 2 years of trying and failing it just happened so quick. Probably in large part down to just helping me understand my cycles so if you're in a similar position I'd reccomend giving it a go. It's about £40 including thermometer but I tried fertility friend the free one and just didn't understand the charts or the info. NC made it all so clear. 3 weeks until my 12 week scan and I'm still petrified it'll go wrong but just know I'm lucky after all of this.

Yeah to you too @maddiie3 hope you and all yammers have a fab Christmas! I've tried bbt but I sleep funny, it did tell me I ovulated but I might try natural cycles in January. Currently just started fertile week so hoping for lots of deeds! Off out tonight, well dragging out for mad Friday! Wish me luck 😂

Oh how I love a baby bomb. My SIL to be precise. I do really like her but she knows we're struggling and still chose to video call with the news. Had to excuse myself because I needed to cry
