I got my bfp 8 days ago. We had been trying to conceive dc3 for a year and finally it happened. I have pcos and was worried we might not be able to conceive again as my cycles had been all over the place. I've had 2 chemical pregnancies since we started trying.
Since my bfp, I've done a few more tests, just to reassure myself that it was actually real. I did a frer this morning which was positive. I had sex with my dh this afternoon and afterwards I noticed some brown/redish discharge when I wiped myself. I've been cramping since.
I've just done an asda digital test and got a bfn result. I know it's better to test in the morning so now I've totally panicked myself.
I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and will ask for bloods to be done.
Has anyone encountered anything like this before? I feel like I'm driving myself mad!!

No not had this as never had a bfp but just wanted to drop by and give a reassuring hug, I'm sure everything will be fine xx

Thank you x
I suffer from depression and anxiety and I just find myself constantly worrying. It's such early days and I just feel so scared.
I've never had any bleeding in any previous pregnancies. I'm just scared in losing it x

Oh, OP. I feel for you. Is it possible to go to a supermarket now and get a digital ready for FMU tomorrow?

I doubt very much the DTD has done anything to harm you so please don't worry about that having caused something.

If it helps, I'm still getting negatives on the tests that have just the lines on, but had three positives on a digital with the weeks progressing on them appropriately xx

Verydonut · 06/10/2018 21:01

I have a first response and another asda digital ready for the morning. I'm going to do both and see what happens.
Then no more tests until I see my go on Tuesday.
I just wish I could relax xxx

Hope all is ok op. I have heard that dtd can irritate the cervix a bit when pregnant perhaps it was that. Fx for you x

Verydonut · 06/10/2018 21:36

Thank you. I'm just hoping and praying the tests will be positive in the morning. Dh thinks I'm over reacting, but he's trying to understand why I'm so worries. Bless him.

Hiya . Hope you're ok! It's so hard not to stress

I just wanted to say that I've heard asda tests have really bad reviews ! Apparently lots of people have had false readings with them! So it could be that . So if you test tomorrow with both tests I'd trust the first response more. Good luck!

ReginaPhalange89 · 06/10/2018 22:26

Also just re read it was a digital, digital tests aren't as sensitive as normal tests so if you're very early on it's possible that it just isn't able to detect the level of hcg xx

Brenna24 · 06/10/2018 22:41

It takes a while for the levels of HCG in your system to drop following a miscarriage, so if you had a line this morning, they wouldn't just vanish throughout the day because of a loss. If your urine was much more dilute you wouldn't see a line though, so try not to freak out.

That looks positive !? There's a clear line on the first response !? Honestly I would not trust the digital at all!

ReginaPhalange89 · 07/10/2018 07:20

Honestly hun go with the first response . The digitals aren't as sensitive not to mention the fact it's asda, I'd never trust an asda one after the reviews I've seen . Wait and see what the doctor says before you give up hope. I think that's positive

tenlittledinosaurss · 07/10/2018 07:35

I would go and see your doctor for bloods to be sure. There is a faint line on the first response but to be really honest I would expect it to be stronger if your first positive was 8 days ago. Same with the digital one. I don't think it is likely to be good news when you look at everything together Thanks

I'm so so sorry xx

(Ps have you tried taking baby aspirin? My friend had multiple chemical pregnancies until she tried this.)

Verydonut · 07/10/2018 07:46

The first response definitely has a faint second line, but they've been much stronger over past week. Still some pink discharge with one or two bloody streaks. Think I've resigned myself to bad news. Thanks all

This is as dark as it got, comparing it to previous tests, it is much lighter. Such a horrible feeling to go from the excitement and joy, to emptiness.
