Ok so...

8 days late for my period. Ovulated last on the 11th/12th September. Test strip confirmed this. Negative pregnancy tests since. Latest I've ever been is 5 days before.

Now... is this classed aas a positive ovulation test or is it flooded? And why am I ovulating now when I'm not due to ovulate until the 10th Oct? (I thought I'd do both tests at once because why not?!)

That is a negative ovulation test. The test line has to be as dark or darker than control line for it to be positive.

I found those test strips really crap. It didn't show up my pregnancy until a few weeks after I was late and even then it was a really faint line. I'd get a FRER.

I never used ovulation strips but I've heard they can do funny things if you are in fact pregnant.

I'd call that ovulation test negative, sorry. And a positive test doesn't confirm that you ovulated, it indicates an LH surge that usually but not always precedes ovulation. Sometimes you get a positive test but don't ovulate then or at all, sometimes you get multiple LH surges per cycle.

All anyone can really tell you is that for the moment you don't appear to be pregnant - could be late ovulation, late implantation an anovulatory cycle, who knows.

Yeah, I never paid any attention to my cycle until recently. I'm 10 months post partum and my body was all over the place. I'm just hoping it's getting back to normal more than hoping to conceive (although we don't mind if I do hence the pregnancy test as well.)

Anyway, thanks ladies! Guess I'll just have to wait things out for a bit still
