Late second period after miscarriage

Hi all

I had a missed miscarriage in July - I thought I was 13 weeks but baby had stopped developing at 8 weeks. It was actually not that painful and the bleeding, while heavy, was not too much of a flood. I then had a really really heavy period at the end of August, starting 5 weeks to the day after the miscarriage, 4 weeks after the bleeding stopped.

I have always had 28-30 day cycles and was expecting my next period round about last Tuesday. Now we're on day 36 after the start of my last period. Nothing, NADA, not even a twinge. I've done 2 negative pregnancy tests (one this morning as I convinced myself I was feeling nauseous). No signs of pregnancy.

Anyone had a really late second period? I'm guessing it takes a while for things to settle down. I don't even know if I've ovulated as I couldn't face all the POAS mid month. Had increased discharge last week - could I have just ovulated mega late? Driving myself slightly mad here.

Hi lovely.

Sorry for your loss.

I've literally just had this.
I miscarried on 1st August. I'm normally 28 day cycle but that lasted 30 days after MC. This month I lasted until 34 days. It can vary unfortunately. So just see if it comes in a few days. X x

I think it varies. I had a mmc in July at 9 weeks,D&C 2nd August. My 2nd period was due tomorrow roughly and turned up last Sunday. Early and extremely heavy 😓 also I had LOADS of symptoms which must of been all period symptoms. Hope yours doesn’t keep you waiting too long if it’s on it’s way! I hate the waiting game with this whole thing 😒 xx

Thanks. Just really hoping it doesn't come at the weekend as we're booked into a b&b in the lakes for a long needed child free weekend. Would be just my luck!

I think what's also playing on my mind is the fact that when I was pregnant this time I had hardly any symptoms apart from exhaustion and bloating. Felt vile when in first trimester with my son. So I'm half hoping I'm pregnant but if I am then I will be even more stressed due to lack of symptoms again!

Oh the joys of womanhood Hmm

Been a stressful few months ❤️ Hope you have a lovely time and hope you get your positive soon. I’m hoping this is the month for us 🤞🏻 Xx
