Ttc baby #2 when I ovulate I get extremely bad ovulation pains! The month before last I didn’t get a single pain, last month I ovulated and knew all about it! This month I’m on cd#17 and still completely negative from the clear blue digital opk which is meant to detect 4 days before ovulation! I really don’t think I’m going to ovulate this month! Could I have an ovary not working? Helppp!

I had no signs of ovulation this month, nothing no ewcm or pains I usually get absolutely nothing! I took a cheap opk as I’m using clear blue digital and came out with a faint second line, any chance this could mean I’m pregnant as I’ve hesrd you can use opk instead of pregnancy tests ?

Georgia0 so many things could be happening, potentially one ovary just doesn't cause you any pain, potentially, despite them being usually painful for you, sometimes they just aren't painful, also ovaries do not always take it in turns, it depends on which egg becomes the dominant and gets released (could be from either, both!). Also OPKs just do not work for some people!
Or you could have a short luteal phase
Or you might have a very rapid incline of surge hormone for ovulation so an OPK might not detect anything that early or could miss it all together (OPKs are meant to be done twice a day because they are known for missing surges)

mamabearr0 there will always be a faint second line on OPKs. It is when the second line is as dark or darker than the control that it should be read as positive! So that OPK is certainly a negative. But I wouldnt rely on the old story of using OPKs as a HPT anyway because Ive been on this forum for a while and seen many women state that theyve tested it out for themselves and it didnt work (on other hand I have heard stories where it has worked so it is unreliable!)

Btw, I am also TTC #2, been trying for a year now so it can be a long wait even if you have been lucky with #1!

TwittleBee, oh I never took that into consideration hopefully that is the case! Feels like a whole month wasted as I know I’m not pregnant ahhhh!

It took me a year and half to conceive #1 so I know how hard it is! I think I’m just worried it’s going to take me that long again!

mamabearr0 its not a wasted month until Af turns up. Just remember to keep DTD every 2 days around your expected ovulation time and you will get there soon hopefull. Really hope it ahppens so much quicker for you this time round. (my friend tried for years for her 1st and then got lucky on her 2nd cycle with her 2nd so you never know!)

Hello I'm on my second cycle of tax dc#2 with unmedicated iui.
Would love to be having lots of dtd but it's just the one shot each month and hope the timing is right...

Went to fertility clinic today so the tww has started and tomorrow I will be 1dpo ( actually 1 day post iui -1 dpiui but I'll call it dpo on here as for all intents and purposes it's the same thing)

I don't seem to have a problem with the first week, it's always the second week that gets me as then I have to fight the urge to rest in case there is a faint faint faint line lol.

Oh wow so much baby dust to you!! I still haven’t ovulated this month and don’t think I will after about 6dpo I’m crazy and start testing every day! I’m crazy! Hahaha

I'm 7dpo and peed on an ovulation stick this morning just so I could pee on something - I wish tww would go a bit faster!!
