Short AF’s

It’s 3 months since I had my implant removed to start to ttc. My first cycle was 36 days but since then I’ve had 2 ‘regular’ cycles.

My AF last month and this have only lasted 2 days. Heavy for 1 & 1/2 days then dropping off to nothing at the end of the second day. I know it’s early days after having my implant removed, but should I be worried about this? My AF’s used to last between 5-7 days before.

I’m 36 and I know my clock is ticking, I’m just not sure when or if I need to see my GP about this.

It's normal. Periods tend to become lighter as you get older (when compared to your teens - not saying you're 'old'!!!). This can be masked by contraception (even the copper coil, which is non-hormonal).

Thank you for replying. I’m not sure this is an age thing though as it’s not lighter, just really short. I don’t know if this means my chances of getting pregnant are less and it does worry me.

I got pregnant (through Ivf) with similar length periods. Not an issue according to the gynae or anyone else involved...
