Different types of First Response

Hi Everyone

Currently on cycle 3 of TTC since MC back in May and af is late. Did two tests with First Response and both negative. Just checked the box and it’s a different type to what I used last time. Last time when I got my BFP I had used the 6 day before period one and this one was rapid response.

Do you think that this would make any difference or am I clutching at straws? DH is currently out looking for the other type of test

Well, the rapid result one I believe is 10 in sensitivity where as the early result one is 6. But you be honest it is clutching at straws if af is late.

Birchgirl · 02/10/2018 20:12

I just don’t understand where af is! This is such a horrible process

Rapid results is actually 100 miU/ml not 10

overagain · 02/10/2018 20:41

Really!?! L0kiWh0 must have misread it. That's bonkers.

Birchgirl · 02/10/2018 20:43

Sorry if I sound stupid but does that mean it’s less sensitive?

Yes, much less sensitive. But at 6 days late it shouldn't matter.

L0kiWh0 · 02/10/2018 20:48

I have a chart saved with all tests sensitivity, just trying to find it in my 4076 pictures then I’ll post it 😂

Birchgirl · 02/10/2018 21:05

I’m only 2 days late at the moment though? So if I used the other type of First Response could I possibly give me a different result

Anyone? X

I’m one day late today and got a BFN. I used the first response 6 days earlier test. Maybe I tested too early?

overagain · 03/10/2018 12:54

Just take another, more sensitive test. You are late so any test should show up if you are pregnant.

Jadek96 · 03/10/2018 12:58

Which are the best most sensitive tests to use ?

MonkeyToucher · 04/10/2018 14:39

The Early Result one is much more sensitive than the Rapid Result, however you would expect either to be showing positive if your af is late.

Are you absolutely sure when you ovulated? If you ov’d late this cycle your period might not actually be late iyswim?

Thank you all for your replies

Sadly AF came yesterday. Never has it been this late. Can’t help but feel that since MC my body is playing horrible tricks on me. Why is this process so hard Sad
