Positive ovulation and positive pregnancy test

Is this possible ?
I've had positive results on both tests

You can use an OPK as a pregnancy test and if you get a definite positive, then yes, it apparently does mean you are pregnant. But then again so does a BFP, so you have your answer! Congratulations!

Yup I tested a strong positive on an opk when I was two days late. The next day I took an actual pregnancy test and got another strong positive.

So even though it says I'm ovulating on the test I did this morning, I could still be pregnant ??

Where in your cycle are you @BrownCurls97 ? Did you do the OPK to check for ovulation or because you thought tumour might be pregnant and didn't have a pregnancy test to hand?

I did an ovulation test because I completely miss understood what ovulation was, then it came back positive so I did a pregnancy test and that came back positive aswell

Congrats @BrownCurls97 you're pregnant! OPK will pick up pretty much the same hormone as a pregnancy test will, which is why it's showing as positive x

You're far far more likely to get a false negative than a false positive.
Were the tests different brands? It's possible your hormone levels just weren't picked up by the second one.
Try a different brand and test again in a day or two 🙂

I've had three negative tests this weekend (£ shop tests) and two positive CB tests.

Test again in the morning when your HCG is strongest.

Yeah the first ones were from super drug, the ones I've just bought were a pound from Asda. I'll try again at the week end and see

Someone once explained to me that OPKs look for LH (Lutenising hormone) and HPT look for HCG.

The characteristics of HCG and LH are very simialr, think of it like LH is HCG wearing a hat. So an OPK will pick up HCG even without it's hat on.

Something like that anyway. So yeah, if you got positive on both I would say you're pregnant.

I've just ordered a electronic clear blue, so hopefully by the end of today I will know !
Also had positive ovulation test for past 3 days now ?

I'm 5 weeks pregnant & had some old OPKS in the drawer so thought I'd test the theory for you. Yes, definitely get positive OPKS when pregnant... weirdly too positive!

Just so confused cause I've had a negative pregnancy test now aswell
