Trying to Conceive

Hi

I am 40 and me and my partner are trying to get pregnant. We haven't been trying for long. My periods are usually like clockwork and I have my period pretty much exactly every 28 days and have been this way pretty much since I started my periods.

I am two days late and I am constantly feeling that I have started my period. I am experiencing cramping ( I don't usually suffer with pre menstrual cramp, just a little the day I am due) and a sensation of wetness (sorry!!!!!) that I usually associated with periods.

Is this a common experience? How many days late should I wait to take a test?

Thank you for any guidance that you can give
