Wishful implantation bleed or period?

Hello,

Here goes..

I've had very regular periods since I came off the pill 1.5yrs ago. 21days (ovulation approx day 8/9), 3 days spotting followed by very bad cramping and heavy bleeding for 2days and so on.

After just over a year of not, not ttc we have been ttc for the last few months and thus far no joy.

Here's the thing.. I started spotting 4days early this month and my boobs have been so tender (I actually took my bra off on a plane it was so bad). I was really hopeful but it's been 4 days now and the spotting hasn't stopped. I have only worn a panty liner for those 4days because there is so little, but slightly more than normal spotting, no clotting and definitely a pinky, brown colour rather than usually period-ness.

Has anyone had an implantation bleed that's lasted this long? Am I kidding myself that I could be pregnant (my head is saying yes but my heart no..)?

Sorry for the essay!!

I had bleeding (more so like a brown pinkish discharge) at the beginning of both my first two pregnancies which was from bruises from where the egg had implanted deeply. Both pregnancies resulted in me having two healthy little boys. My first the bleeding started about a week before I got my bfp and lasted til about 12 weeks although it was on and off, an with the second it started after my bfp.
I'd definitely keep on testing because sometimes the egg can implant later than normal and it takes longer for it to register on a test.
Hope I've helped
Fingers crossed for you Thanks

It’s definitely possible - with my second pregnancy I had what I thought was a very light period that sounds very similar to yours. Enough to need a pad but pinky brown colour and started a few days before my period was due. It lasted about a week which is actually longer than my normal period.

I assumed it was just a weird period and only tested when I missed the next one - scan confirmed I was already 8 weeks!
