Coming off the pill and missed period

Hi, I really hope someone can help put my mind at ease.
I came off the pill over a month ago after taking it for 6 months. I bled as normal after finishing that pack, now I am a week late for my period. I have had unprotected sex once in that time.
I've heard coming off the pill can mess up your timing but I have always been very regular. I have taken a few tests over the last week and all have been negative. I've had light cramps but nothing seems to be happening. We are not trying for kids right now and are not in the best position currently to be able to up support them properly.
Has anybody else been been through this? It's horrible just waiting for something to happen, no AF no BFP and no anwers.

I’d imagine it’s your body after coming off the pill. I had regular 28 day cycles for 12 years with the pill then when I came off I had a 35 day before the first period.

I understand that you can be quite fertile when you first stop the pill - I got pregnant in the very first month after stopping the pill. However we were ttc and my first pregnancy test (taken the day after I thought my period could have been due) was positive.
When I stopped the pill again a few years later (not ttc) it took several months for my periods to regulate.
