I'm curious to know. If you use one of the various fertility awareness methods (calendar, OPKs, CM checking) How do you communicate to your partner that you're in your fertile window?

Just tell them?

TwittleBee · 28/09/2018 12:29

Yeah same, just tell them.

DH used to be pretty keen on knowing how my charting was all going anyway.

PurdysChocolate · 28/09/2018 12:30

I would just tell DH when my window was.

I think my actual words were 'I'm due to ovulate tomorrow if you want to shoot a baby into me?' It worked.

Depends if you think performance anxiety might be an issue. If you can’t just tell him maybe suggest an early night or just jump on him.

SoyDora · 28/09/2018 18:03

I just told him.

Taylor22 · 28/09/2018 18:12

We've been trying to have fun with it now.
So I wiggle my eyebrow at him in a ridiculous way

He asks me what the hell is wrong with my face.
I do it again.
He asks me if sex will make it go away.

Give me your seeeeeeeeddddd! 😂🙈

I think if you are ttc (providing your OH is aware and agrees) it’s best NOT to tell them. Just jump them and have some good sex! Takes the pressure off.

After two years of trying I just stuck my ovulation tracker on his phone so he could check himself.

But honestly tell him. "I'm ovulating at the end of this week, we should try and have sex every other day through until next Monday" should cover it. You're adults, you're trying to have a baby together, you should be able to have an honest and open conversation about needing to have sex.

I said "if you want a second kid we need to do it now" but we aren't having regular sex. If we'd been having regular sex I wouldn't have mentioned it.

Darkstar4855 · 28/09/2018 21:16

I told mine at first but after a while he decided that he preferred not to know so he didn’t feel under pressure. l would have a chat with your partner and ask him whether he wants to know or not.

dueanotherchange · 28/09/2018 21:21

I didn’t tell him, to the PP’s previous point. DC1 was an IVF pregnancy, and DC2 wasn’t. He likes to say I took advantage Grin

I didn’t - we had discussed it - but given our history I decided a glass of wine, a nice meal and DTD with no pressure was a better idea. DC2 is 3!

I say 'we need to do the sexing tonight' !
