Crossfitgirl · 06/10/2018 16:18

Thanks @delilah7 new cycle now, though I'm going away for 4 days next weekend then again the weekend after for 2 nights! So not sure how DTD will go working around that... can guarantee FW will be when I'm away! Lol x

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 17:22

@Crossfitgirl probably Hun as it likes to be a bastard like that, how are you feeling about another cycle? I'm defo trying to relax abit more with it. It got me pregnant last time so! got to be abit more positive. Me and OH are so good and have been since MC it's been wonderful. ( not that we weren't before but we niggled about silly stupid things ). X x

CookieWaffle · 06/10/2018 17:43

Thanks ladies xxx

Ah well, I was thinking I'd wait 6 cycles before going to docs for more help but I don't feel ready to put myself through that yet. Let's see how cycle 7 goes. At least I've got plenty of house distraction at the moment.

Glad OH and you are sounding happy at the mo @Delilah7, definitely been closer with my OH while going through this. Tho when I told him this month we were out he said nothing. I think he mightve been disappointed but some comfort woulda been nice.

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 17:45

@CookieWaffle exactly and I hate to say it but they normally say no to worry don't they until after a year, I've heard that but might be wrong?? Yeah it defo has brought us closer. I don't think they realise sometimes how devastating each cycle goes by is too us really do they x

So just entered my FW! Fingers crossed for this cycle! Good luck to all you ladies in the 2WW!

@Delilah7 relaxed has definitely got to be the way to go! It's gotta be better for everyone 😊 I really hope you get a sticky bean soon lovely!

@Crossfitgirl fingers crossed for you to actually be in the vicinity of DH when you're in your FW! 😂

CookieWaffle · 06/10/2018 17:50

Yeah unfortunately for me @Delilah7 a year is a bit long when you're 40! I've heard it's 6 months for over 40 but after hearing all the treatments the ladies on the 40s thread have been through I'm thinking I should just let nature take its course, sounds all very traumatic and costly.

Good luck @MrsR16! xx

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 17:52

@MrsR16 good lucky darling xx
Me too but we will see!

@CookieWaffle I thought that might be the case with age, it does sound costly some of the things I've read. Keep positive hun I know it's hard :( xxx

MrsR16 · 06/10/2018 18:02

@CookieWaffle it'll happen lovely! But it's so hard when the months go ticking by... xx

CookieWaffle · 06/10/2018 18:05

Thanks ladies. Yep it's definitely tough especially when you've waited so long before you could TTC. Now it's just torture lol xx

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 18:07

@CookieWaffle I bet! That's why I feel bad moaning. I was so lucky to fall pregnant 3rd cycle and now on my 6th I feel like I've waited ages hahaha xxx

OP posts:
CookieWaffle · 06/10/2018 18:11

Yeah I mean I should be lucky i can tell myself I got pregnant twice in 6 months at 40, just gotta make it stick now! This month was a weird one, I think I ovulated super early so mightve missed the timing a bit.

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 18:40

@CookieWaffle I feel the same. Especially after the MC. X x

Hi, do you mind if I join you please?! 👋😊
This will be our first month TTC but I have been reading along with you all on this thread and the previous threads for quite a while in the run up to being able to start TTC myself. I’m 24 and currently on CD2!

Delilah7 · 06/10/2018 19:27

Been away for a while as been finding ttc emotionally hard been off birth control for 7 months now with two periods both super light one lasting 15 days with no positive opk or clear blue ovulation strips. Did a clear blue ovulation strips this morning and randomly did a opk this morning am I seeing things or is this a positive opk. This is the darkest I have ever had and came up super quick. This is cd 20 but 15 were a light period and just had some spotting

TTC FIRST BABY THREAD NO.5!
Teachermummy83 · 06/10/2018 23:55

Well that’s me officially switching off ladies (or trying to anyway!!!) - we’re leaving for a long awaited holiday Down Under in the morning so I’m hoping to not stress about this TTC malarkey in the hope that relaxation is the key to a positive result. What will be will be. Fingers crossed the next time I set foot in european soil, it’ll be with good news. Fingers crossed for everyone else too - we’re definitely due some positive news on the baby front - who will it be I wonder?!! Good luck all xxx

CookieWaffle · 07/10/2018 05:54

@Teachermummy83 have a lovely holiday xx

@RobynC19 It's almost positive but not quite. It could be diluted or just not there yet. Either way, DTD and keep testing :)

KatBeCool · 07/10/2018 07:41

@CookieWaffle ehh, being 40 and ttc is tough. I'm right there with you. And when people say "oh don't worry, sometimes it takes years" I just want to smack them. I don't have years! Every month feels like seven.

CookieWaffle · 07/10/2018 08:06

@KatBeCool oh tell me about it :) someone told me to 'keep trying' the other day and that it took their friend 4 years. I was thinking, great, thanks for that useful advice Hmm. No I'll just stop trying for a few years, I'm in no rush (internal screaming).

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 09:02

@Robync19 looks like your surge! How often have you tested with the OPKs before? It's not quite positive but I'd class it as fertile, as it looks like the type I get either a short time before or after my positive. You could be about to get positive or just missed it by a teensy bit... I'd say ov is on the way.
Have you only had 2 periods in the 7 months? And were they usually light before you went on birth control? They do say it can take a while to come back to normal xx

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 09:07

@cookiewaffle @katbecool ignore them, every journey is individual, who gives a fuck if it took someone else 4 years, or if someone else "just stopped trying " and it happened? Not us!!
Keep trying... honestly! What do people think you're doing? Lol.
Xxx

Crossfitgirl · 07/10/2018 09:08
