@Dosmamas I take the Pregnacare Conception ones. We got the his & hers ones, no idea if they really do help men with anything but DH wants to feel like he’s doing something.

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 18:57

@FivexFive that's a sensible way of doing it, if the NHS say stick to the basics then maybe we will too. Smile

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 18:58

@stormtrooperjulian that's cute of him, I have seen the pregnacare ones recommended, how are they on your tummy? My partner has tried three different brands and each one has made her really nauseous.

stormtrooperjulian · 04/10/2018 19:01

@Dosmamas I haven’t had any problems with them. What time of day does your partner take hers? I read that taking them just before bed can help reduce nausea etc, and that’s when I take mine.

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 19:04

@stormtrooperjulian normally in the morning after breakfast but that makes so much sense to take them at night. Thankyou

FlapJackered · 04/10/2018 19:14

@Crossfitgirl - I feel the same about smep. DH is full of talk with it but he can be bad at seeing things through despite good intentions, we will see! Although he hasn't mentioned anything I think he is surprised it hasn't happened for us yet and he is really keen so hopefully that will inspire him to initiate more! Hopefully your DH will stick to it too. We will have to have team smep updates and plan b seduction techniques!

@stormtrooperjulian Sorry af arrived but it is reassuring that you had a better bleed as that is hopefully good news for next cycle.
mine is pretty light and only lasts 2 days.

ValidUser · 04/10/2018 19:15

@Dosmamas I use pregnacare conception too and if anything it's given me a longer luteal phase.

I get really nauseated with ordinary vitamins, but these are fine!

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 19:16

@FivexFive going to see Venom (with Tom Hardy) tomorrow night with my nephew, but no weekend plans at yet, started a new job this week so my head is chocka, looking forward to couch time with my DP and chilling out,

DP starts her fertile window next week so I need to get some stuff off Amazon (OPK's) etc. going to broach the subject with our donor about the possibility of getting three donations this cycle (Sunday Monday and maybe Tuesday) what do you all think? Is that too much?

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 19:18

@ValidUser Is a longer luteal phase good?

cupcakesandglitter · 04/10/2018 19:31

@stormtrooperjulian sorry, reading back it wasn't a clear question at all 😂 that's the same as me this cycle x

KatBeCool · 04/10/2018 19:32

@stormtrooperjulian I can't get my DH take vitamins for the life of me. He won't even eat fruit. And now that his tests came back normal it's even harder. I'm lucky to shove him some vitamin D. I'm glad yours is participating!

@FlapJackered maybe try what I'm doing - announce sex schedule and nobody gets to say no. You think we're always in the mood? Heck no. The mood comes when we're half way through, haha. DH came home not feeling well. Told him we're doing it later anyway. What CD are you? I'm on CD11. OPK is getting dark, so O is soon.

@Dosmamas if you're trying smep, schedule it around guaranteed ovulation. While three times is great, the timing needs to be perfect too. You don't want to guess. At the least, start when the opks are almost at peak.

Delilah7 · 04/10/2018 19:53

@feverbee sorry to hear about AF. I didn't adapt anything really until after I got pregnant on 3rd cycle.... so just take the vitamins and make sure you get fruit and veg. I don't drink so that wasn't an issue for me :) xx

@Dosmamas I take pregnacare however makes your pee ridiculously yellow 😂😂xx

@FivexFive I've still got my books my colleagues gave me when I found out I was expecting. Can't bring myself to give them back yet! Nothing planned but half a day at work tomorrow. Woooohooo. You? Xx

@KatBeCool my OH is the same as yours 😂😂😂😂

ValidUser · 04/10/2018 20:00

@Dosmamas a short luteal phase is bad. Long isn't inherently good, but short can make implantation less likely.

FlapJackered · 04/10/2018 20:00

@KatBeCool - that does sound like a plan, I am just worried that DH may struggle physically if he is not into it. We will test it though and see if it works. I am only on cd7
So won't start properly until cd12 as I don't ovulate until cd18 earliest.
I love how firm you are with Dtd. I need that confidence! That is great with the dark opks! Get going!!

SenoraSurf · 04/10/2018 20:10

@Dosmamas I'm on the seven seas ones and have been fine. No symptoms that I have noticed xx

stormtrooperjulian · 04/10/2018 20:36

@KatBeCool @FlapJackered I give my DH a sex schedule too.

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 21:10

@KatBeCool I always convince myself that SMEP can't work for us but I don't see why not..as long as we get the donation during peak it's pretty much the same thing !

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 21:14

Thanks @SenoraSurf , I relayed all this to my partner and she decided on pregnacare.

Dosmamas · 04/10/2018 21:15

@ValidUser that's really interesting, I have never heard of that, honestly, this site is so handy. 😁😁

FivexFive · 04/10/2018 21:29

@Delilah7, well you're best keeping them anyway, you never know what this cycle may bring!! Will hold off buying books etc until it happens I think. Let me know how the film is! Xx

Crossfitgirl · 04/10/2018 21:55

@flapjackered will definitely have to do SMEP updates! I'm currently in shock as DH has initiated the last 2 times!! On Sunday, then again last night! (Could be wishful thinking but it's 3 days apart and that's what we agreed... every 2-3 days! Though he was probably just horny and hadn't given that a second thought.

I'm still wondering about my blood test and when to go.

I've got to have it done on cycle day 1-3.
So far, this is my 2nd day of spotting but full flow hasn't started yet.
I don't know what to do if full flow doesn't come till the weekend...
Either go tomorrow and count it as day 3, or wait for full flow (probably coming saturday) and go Monday, which would be day 3 of full flow.
I just don't know what to count as day 1!

Everything I've read points to waiting for full flow and counting it as day one.
But my GP suggested if I spot 3 days before my period to maybe go on the 3rd day. My temp hasn't dropped yet either.

Hmm what to do what to do!

Do you think it matters if I go on Monday and risk it actually being like day 6?? (As in counting the spotting days?)

CookieWaffle · 04/10/2018 22:16

@Crossfitgirl I think I'd wait til its in full flow before going in case it takes its time, or doesn't come at all!

Crossfitgirl · 04/10/2018 22:22

@cookiewaffle that's what I'm leaning towards. I was hoping she might come tonight then I can just go first thing in the morning before work, but I reckon just to be a bitch, she'll turn up tomorrow evening after the blood test labs close. Just to be rude and I'll have to go Monday anyway and it'll be day 4!
Or maybe she'll just come when she is due, which Aparently is Saturday!
It's just a bit annoying for work planning!

Crossfitgirl · 04/10/2018 22:25

Also, funny story. Specially for you @flapjackered. Well, for all of you!

So DH initiated last night and we were like in a spooning position, I was all impressed cos he initiated and it's the 2nd time in 3 days, then riiight at the final moment his willy slid out by accident and instead of going where it should have gone, it went alllll over his feet and the bed!!
Stuck in his leg hair and everything! 😂😂😂

Couldn't even have salvaged that with a scoop or syringe @validuser 😂😂😂

cupcakesandglitter · 04/10/2018 22:34

@Crossfitgirl HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
