How quickly did you get your cycle after MC?

Just had a confirmed miscarriage at 6 weeks and the doctor said to wait for AF before trying again. Am wondering what everyone's experience with this is? The doctor said it would probably be 4-6 weeks?

When we had an early MC at around that mark I found my cycle actually went straight back to normal. But could be worth waiting for 1 AF to pass to give body a rest and to know your cycle is back on track.

Both of my MCs were around the 5-6 week mark, and my cycle went immediately back to normal. The doctor said that the advice to wait for a period is only for dating purposes. If you feel ready to try again straight away then there’s no reason not to!

Yes, mine was 4 weeks as though my body saw the MC as a period. But I know for others it was longer to get back in to a regular cycle.

I fell pregnant before I had my period.
The only reason they tell you to wait one cycle is for dating purposes it hasn’t caused any harm to this pregnancy. I was also told to wait but fell pregnant accidentally straight away. However no one raised any eyebrow and I got an early scan for them to confirm it was a new pregnancy, they gave me a rough date from that then I got the proper date at 12 week scan as normal.
Going by my dating scan I would have conceived four weeks after miscarriage. So I could have assumed if I hadn’t conceived my period would have been six weeks after my miscarriage (I normally have a 28 day cycle so two weeks longer).

My first period was a couple of weeks ago, and was 28 days after a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks.

After my miscarriage it was about 5 weeks after that I got my period so not too bad 😊

Mine took 7 weeks after a MC at 8 weeks. I actually had some bleeding at 5 weeks that I thought was AF but in retrospect probably wasn’t. We did try that cycle but no joy.
