About to start TTC

Have spent the last year giving up smoking, losing weight, upping my excercise i. Preparation.
I am still overweight with 3 stone to lose, but much healthier for the 2 stone off so far.

I’ve had a coil in since my last baby (aged 5!) which is due to come out next week.

I am on fleuxetine which I know is not good for pregnancy but I’ve been cutting it down in the past few months so I am now on a fairly low dose.

Anything else I should be doing? And any experience on how long it took to fall pregnant after removing the coil?

TIA

I would definitely start taking folic acid and vitamin D now! It can be taken pre conception and is essential for baby.

As for coil removal - I have had 3 removals to conceive and had different conception results each time... DC1 took 1 cycle post removal, DC2 took 7 cycles post removal and DC3 (I’m 9 weeks) well, I had my coil removed 10 week ago and had no period or withdrawal bleed so fell pregnant pretty much as soon as it was out... so the moral is who knows but it defo can happen straight away hence why i suggest starting your vitamins now 😊 good luck x
