Ovulation test question

If the ovulation test was dark Wednesday but negative Thursday does that mean the fertile period / egg realising etc was already finished by Thursday?

I'm very simplified terms yes. The test detects a hormone that triggers ovulation: generally it peaks 12-36 hours before ovulation. So on the day you didn't get a strong line, it's likely you'd already ovulated or that you ovulated very shortly after.

However, not sure that's the case for everyone!

It's so bizzare! I'd been taken them all week and noticed that was the darkest this was in the evening by Thursday/Friday day time it was negative but I think it was really pee soaked as the line took an hour to show so I may be even wrong in all this oh god lol x
