Hi everyone. Not ttc for a while but as I live with cats, love a rare steak and like gardening, I have been aware of the risk of toxoplasmosis during pregnancy. It would be great to know if I was immune or not so that I don't have to stress about scrubbing all veg, getting the odd bit of soil under my nails or changing the cats' tray. Is this something I can ask for at the doctor's? Or would the only option be to pay to have it done privately. Anyone?

Hey! I'm a vet so pretty much guaranteed toxo exposure - if you've had cats a while you've likely been exposed but it's an easy blood test to check - just ask your GP and in the meantime don't clean out the litter trays, get your OH to do it :)
