Positive test, then negative test?

Can anyone confirm if I’m going crazy please??!
I was 5 days late and had loads of symptoms this week that convinced me I was possibly pregnant. I took a test last night and it was Positive! I was delighted.
This morning I took another test, just to be sure, and it was negative.
I’ve had slight traces of very very dark blood on and off all week when wiping, but this morning it’s more like a proper period bleed.
What’s going on? Am I! Aren’t I!?! Has anyone else ever had this?

Could possibly be a chemical. Test again in a few days and if it’s still positive then contact the EPU for advice. Hope it all works out xx

Thanks @Mummytoboy. I’ve done two more tests and both are negative so I’m wondering if the first test was faulty? Still so sign of a proper period though.
