Hi,

We are going to start trying for a babt in October, although i have just been made redundant so when i start another job hopefully i will be leaving to have the baby before i would have been there a year - can anyone help with what maternity pay i should receive etc etc etc

ll,

I think that so long as you start the job by mid september you should be entitled to full statutory maternity pay.

I'm sure someone else will be able to confirm for definate but you could always look at

littlelady, am in similar position having just been made redundant and trying for a baby. I read that you have to work for 8 weeks before becoming pregnant in order for your employer to pay your maternity pay, otherwise you will get £100 a week or 90% of your pay if less than £100 a week.
