TTC after colonoscopy and recent Mirena removal

Hi all,
New to mumsnet. TTC after recent colposcopy and Mirena coil removal. Had intermittent bleeding with mirena every month (which I've been told is a good thing). Started ttc straightaway but haven't yet had a period. Had cramps, felt sick and I'm an emotional wreck but no bleeding. I'm after any experiences of this if possible? Not sure if ttc too soon or if not bleeding straightaway is 'normal'. Partner is on sertraline and im 33 so been on folic acid/vit D to give us a fighting chance!
Any help/advice appreciated. Thank you x

Coming off hormonal contraception may mean your cycle takes up to a year to bocce regular again, but usually it happens more quickly than that. There's not much to be done but wait and see. If you don't get a period for three months after coil removal, I'd head to the gp.

I got AF 3 weeks after Mirena removal. It all depends on when in your cycle you remove it.

Hi OP! I didn’t have a bleed following removal of my mirena. I waited for a bleed but it didn’t come so on a whim I took a test and it was positive. Didn’t think it would happen so quick especially as I had no bleeds while it was in place.
Currently 8-9 weeks - not right sure of dates as you can imagine haha. So it is 100% possibile to fall pregnant without a bleed x

I fell pregnant at 35 2 months after a colonoscopy and while on the implant so (No bleeding or periods) so definitely possible! Good luck :)

Thank you for your advice and for sharing your experience. I'm remaining ever hopeful as still having menstrual-style cramps and pain in my boobs. I'm going to wait another week or so to retest but I have everything crossed. It has helped knowing you ladies conceived straightaway as I was worried about scarring on my cervix as well as having the Mirena removed...🙂

Am feeling a little deflated. I have had the coil out for a month now and have dtd at least every other day. Had pregnancy (or what I would say) are pregnancy symptoms. Metal taste in mouth, menstrual-style cramps but just just a test and got a BFN. Partner due to come off sertraline next week but on such a low dose, didn't think it would affect things too much. I'm on the conception medication (as is he now) but nothing as yet. I know my expectations may be a little high but got caught on straightaway with my youngest after I had the coil out. Think I just expected same again...crushed at seeing just the one line...sorry ladies. Just no one to vent or talk to as OH wants this more than me and so will be gutted too 🙁
