Both Positive and Negative Results

So AF was due 5 days ago. I've done about 20 preg tests as they're all conflicting and don't know what to think?

First I got cheap £1 Asda ones and Asda's own £3.50 ones.

£1 tests came back faint positive but Asda's own clear neg.

Got CBdigital and FR, digital said positive 1-2 weeks, FR faint positives.

Left a couple of days and re did them all again with exactly same results...

Yesterday I bought some more clear blue basic tests and some cheap 2 for £1 ones. Clear blue again had a very very faint positive and the cheap ones are clear negative.

I don't know what to think and it's driving me mad!! I've got a feeling I'm not actually pregnant but I know my body must have to have the hormone for the positive results to show? ConfusedSadConfusedSad

If you’ve had clear positive tests you either are or have been pregnant. If you’re worried go to the doctor, they may be able to confirm if your hcg levels indicate an early miscarriage from a blood test. I hope it isn’t, have been through it myself.

Different tests have different sensitivities so check that on the packet. Digitals are some of the least sensitive though so if you’d had a positive on those I’d expect you’d get it on any test but there may be some that are even less sensitive.

Thanks. Yeah I know there definitely must've been something for the positives to have been positive, I've read a lot about chemical pregnancies so I'm wondering if it's one of those.

Think I'll just sit it out for the next few days and see what happens.

So frustrating! If I'd have just done the clearblue tests I'd have been none the wiser.

False positives are very rare so I would say you're pregnant.

Tests have different levels - so if pick one type of test and stick with it. There's a positive it's a chemical pregnancy test but there's no way to tell except to keep testing and making sure it gets darker.

I've attached my positives gradually getting darker if it helps at all.

Good luck

Thanks @kikisparks @hoping2018 looks like it was a chemical pregnancy as AF (or whatever it's classed as now) came today SadSadSad

So bloody annoying! Miscarried at 9wks last June, these were my 1st BFPs since then so got so excited, I'd never heard of chemical until I started googling why some tests were negative.

Fingers crossed happens soon, thanks for your advice xx

@Beaubailey I'm so sorry to hear that. I had a very long fertility journey including two cycles of ivf and I can't imagine the hope of getting a positive to then have a chemical or miscarriage.

My sister had a miscarriage then 7 months later a chemical and then the following month got pregnant again and has just given birth. So don't lose hope - it can happen.

If you have three chemicals/miscarriages it's worth going to the GP to get checked out.

Best of luck
