Breastfeeding, TTC and false negatives test?

I BF my 13 m/o - my periods returned about 7 months ago, since returning they have been pretty regular - in fact more regular than they were before having DS, we have been ttc since the beginning, but no luck as yet but this month I am a week late, been POAS like a crazy woman, and every test has come out negative? Has anyone had an experience that causes false negatives when breastfeeding? I know scientifically they say the results should not be impacted but I've read on other forums some people do? Any experiences to share ??

The only thing that causes false negatives are hcg levels that are too low to be detected by a test. Frer are the most sensitive and detect the lowest level. If the levels are too long w to detect, your symptoms aren't from pregnancy... probably from progesterone which rises after ov and then falls before af starts.

I've read that some prescription meds can cause false positives.

Your probably right, only that my sister didn't show up until 4 weeks after missed period as with someone else I know, so thought maybe there was a link oh well :(

I couldn't conceive whilst BF. DS2 was conceived the month I stopped feeding DS1, when he was 32 months old.
