Peak clue blue OPK but negative strip tests! What's happening?

I have been TTC since Feb this year and mapping my cycle through BBT and OPKS for the last 4 months. Over this time I had one month where my clear blue OPK results moved from low to high to peak. I then tested with strip tests and had a positive result for around 12 hours.

On more than one occasion, like this month, I moved from low to high to peak but then the strip tests were consistently negative. This is even when testing every four hours (and holding me pee for this time).

I just dont understand! As far as I can tell I'm not ovulating.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have a blood test at the Drs next week but they have already told me I'm not eligible for IVF as my partner has children.

Please share your experiences and advice! Having a tough day with all this.
