TTC again after Emergency C-Section at 24 weeks

Hello,

I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl on 16th July 2018. I went into preterm labour at 24 weeks and she passed away 3 hours after birth.

We would like to start trying again but read conflicting information on length of time to wait after a C-Section. I was lucky to have a lower segment horizontal incision and it's healed well already. What is the least amount of time you've left between pregnancies delivered by section?

We are thinking of trying again at Christmas...

Any info would really help.
Thank you x

I'm sorry for your loss. Flowers

I had DD by c-section in late June and was pregnant again by early December. There's 13 months between DC.

The midwives etc didn't bat an eyelid.

Advice is 12-18 months before ttc, but my friend had circumstances similar to yours and there were 15 months between her two births.

There's a increased risk of scar rupture and placenta accreta I believe. May go and speak with your GP?
