Hi,
Has anyone used the spermcheck home testing kit from boots? Just wondering if it's reliable, or if it is going to just mess with our heads.
Thanks in advance

Its pretty easy to get your gp to arrange a proper one (But getting my OH to actually go and do it is a different matter!)
Not sure the home kits are very reliable.

DH used one. It was fine to use and worked in as much as it said he had an ok sperm count and he does (needed ivf for non sperm reasons, so found out for sure). But if you’re worried about his sperm count for some reason then would you be fully reassured by a positive result or worry it was a false reading?

DP used one about 3 years ago and IIRC his results were that he had 0-5% chance of fathering a child. DS2 is nearly a year old.Hmm

@professionalbarren yeah youve probably hit the nail on the head, I don't think I'd believe it even if it was true!
@cnizzle i don't think I'm ready for such a conclusive yes or no just yet! I guess I thought the boots one I could do and still have doubts about it's effectiveness if I couldn't handle the answer!

Thanks for your answers, I'm not going to even go there, boots kit or no boots kit, I'm not ready for the answer!

I think that’s really sensible. I hope things work out for you.
